Flush Mount Installation Notes
- Choose an appropriate location for the flush-mount plate, typically above, beside, or below the electrical panel.
- Make sure the wall area is free of obstructions, such as studs, so there is enough space to route the surge protector conductors.
- Install the flush-mount plate close enough to the electrical panel so the provided wires can be safely routed into the panel.
- Use the provided cut-out template to mark the wall opening and mounting holes.
- Drill the mounting holes and install the supplied wall anchors.
- Cut the wall opening by marking the four cut-out corners and cutting between the marked points.
- Remove the panel knockout that best aligns with the surge protector location.
- Attach the SP240V400KA surge protector to the flush-mount plate using the supplied standoffs and screws.
- Route the surge protector wires through the required conduit or fitting and into the electrical panel.
- Secure the flush-mount plate to the wall using the supplied mounting hardware.
Installer-Supplied Items
Mounting hardware is included with the FMP-63. The installer or customer must supply the necessary tools and any required conduit, fittings, or additional materials needed for the installation.
Important Safety Note
Turn off all power supplying the equipment before working on or inside the electrical panel. After installation is complete, restore power and verify that the SP240V400KA status lights show normal operation.
